Heart centre: central emotion SHAME

three-centres-en-heart.png

Shame is a reaction to a perceived low self-value.

Two: Twos control their shame by giving and being helpful. The gratitude of others increases their self-esteem. Not being needed by others lowers their perceived self-value and fills them with shame.

Three: Threes deny their shame by presenting themselves as successful and admirable. The respect of others makes them feel valuable and lets them forget about their shame.

Four: Fours try to transform their strong shame by presenting themselves as special. In this way they try to increase their sense of worth and assert themselves in a world where they feel alien and unwelcome.
